Doing What We Do With All Our Hearts

DOING WHAT WE DO WITH ALL OUR HEARTS.

Colossians 3:23 ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for me.’

This puts a very different light on things. We are encouraged to do what we have to do with all our hearts. This speaks about our day-to-day lives. We can do what we do as unto the Lord. If our everyday lives can be as though we were working for God, then every aspect of our lives can become an example of our love for God. This can make even the most mundane task something special. If we can apply this too our lives then we can apply it to other areas of our lives.

LOVING GOD IS A COMMAND.

Joshua 22:5 ‘But be very careful to keep the commandments and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, to obey his commands, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all you soul.’

How do you follow a command? By making the decision. Our love for God needs to be total, involving our whole being.

Deuteronomy 6:5 ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’

This effects how we should seek Him. This effects how we should fear Him. This effects how we should obey Him. This effects how we should love and serve Him.

Let us make this decision that we are going to love God!
