Turning to God

As we travel along our course of life, we face and experience many things. We can either try to make sense of all the challenges and issues or we can turn to the one who knows all things. What do you turn to when you are facing difficulties and challenges? Our first recourse should be to turn to God. This will be the best turn we will make. When all around looks bleak we must make that decision to turn to God and to determine that we will keep our eyes on Him.

We may look to many sources for our help. When troubles come, then you discover where people turn to for help. Some turn to philosophy, some to aggression, and some simple turn to drinking or some other for of momentary help. But we can and should turn to God. When we don’t know where to look for help, there is someone to whom we can turn. There are times in our lives when we search for answers. We need to know where we can find help. Our help comes from God.

Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
