Trusting God to direct us

Mankind feels that they should be in charge of their own destiny. I keep hearing phrases like: ‘the individual is sovereign’. Directing our own lives is the philosophy of the day.
But what was God’s original plan and intention for us, His creation?

Jeremiah 10:23 I know, O LORD, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.

It is so different from what the world is telling us. It is God’s responsibility to direct our steps and be the director of our lives, not ours.

In our day-to-day lives we need to begin to trust God to direct us. There must be this constant expectation that God wants to lead and direct us. We must begin to rely more and more on Him and his direction in our lives. This journey of dependence is vital. Begin by expecting God to direct you in the small things and then begin to depend on Him for the big things. In the process we will learn what it means to be dependent on God and will be directed by Him in the process.

Proverbs 16:9 We should make plans—counting on God to direct us.

We would like to help individuals who would love to experience more of God. The Bible tells us that we can be 'Alive to God'. For many Christians this has been an element that they have failed to enjoy. Enjoying God and His presence in our lives is something that we can 'know' and experience in our lives.
